State-of-the-art technologies for liposuction and intraoperative skin tightening at PANTEA®

Treatment areas

Liposuction for lipoedema: Typical areas for liposuction for lipoedema are the inner and outer thighs, the upper arms ("angled arms"), the abdomen, the hips and the chin ("double chin"). Other areas of the body can include the calves, knees and buttocks.

Aesthetic liposuction: Typical areas for aesthetic liposuction in women are the inner and outer thighs (so-called "breeches"), the abdomen, the hips (so-called "love handles") and the chin ("double chin"). In men, the distribution of fat differs slightly compared to women, with the annoying fat deposits in men mainly accumulating in the area of the hips (so-called "love handles") or on the stomach and chin ("double chin"). Other suitable body areas for liposuction are the upper arms ("love handles"), calves, knees and buttocks.

In the best case scenario, liposuction can lead to lifelong results and thus to an increase in quality of life. This can be achieved in particular if patients maintain a healthy and balanced diet and sufficient exercise before and after liposuction.

Treatment methods for inpatient liposuctions under general anesthesia

Based on our extensive experience, we have developed our "PANTEA® method" according to Dr. med. Anna-Theresa Lipp as a uniform surgical standard, which ensures that we guarantee the highest possible medical and aesthetic quality standard for every operation. All our doctors are intensively trained according to the "PANTEA® method". The PANTEA® method ensures the gentlest and most effective liposuction of the highest possible volume of liposuctioned fatty tissue (up to 10% of body fat / operation for medical lipoedema liposuctions) with the best possible aesthetic results.

We use two proven methods for the effective removal of fat deposits: the tumescent technique and vibration-assisted liposuction (PAL - Power Assisted Liposuction). We perform both procedures exclusively under general anesthesia in our clinic in order to ensure maximum safety and the best possible comfort for our patients. In the tumescent technique, a special saline solution with a locally effective anesthetic is injected into the tissue to be treated. The fat cells soak up this liquid and can then be gently suctioned out using fine cannulas. We use PAL technology for all areas. This involves the use of vibrating, fine cannulas that mechanically loosen the fatty tissue through rapid back and forth movements and simultaneously suction it away. This procedure enables particularly effective and tissue-sparing removal of fat cells - even in fibrotic or sensitive tissue, as is often the case with lipoedema. In most cases, we combine both techniques to achieve an optimal result. The combination allows the tissue to be treated more evenly while at the same time protecting nerves and lymphatic channels.

For optimal body definition and contouring, we combine the two methods with Vaser® technology, which we call "Vaser® liposuction". With the help of ultrasound energy, the fatty tissue is loosened and liquefied in a targeted manner before we gently suction it out, thus optimally defining, shaping and contouring the body.

We use modern, tissue-sparing procedures such as Renuvion® (plasma energy) and QUANTUMRF® (radiofrequency) for optimal intraoperative skin tightening after liposuction. These technologies improve skin quality from the inside out and ensure a harmonious overall result - without additional incisions or scars.

Treatment methods for outpatient aesthetic liposuctions

We also use the tumescent technique for smaller areas as part of outpatient aesthetic liposuctions in our outpatient surgery in twilight sleep and combine this with intraoperative skin tightening using BodyTite® or FaceTite® technology.

In the tumescent technique, a special saline solution with a locally effective anesthetic is injected into the tissue to be treated. The fat cells absorb this liquid and can then be gently suctioned out using fine cannulas.

For optimal intraoperative skin tightening during outpatient liposuction, we use modern, tissue-sparing procedures such as BodyTite® (for outpatient liposuction on the body) or FaceTite® (for outpatient liposuction on the face, chin and neck) technology .

These techniques are particularly suitable for smaller areas on the abdomen (partial areas), flanks, saddlebags, double chin or knees and possibly the upper arms. However, the upper limit for outpatient liposuction is around 3,000-3,500 ml of pure fatty tissue per session. Whether outpatient liposuction is an option and which combination of techniques makes sense is decided on a case-by-case basis depending on the findings.
