The medical treatment takes place in one appointment at our practice in Munich and comprises several steps: from the consultation to the final treatment.

Your journey to radiant skin begins with an in-depth consultation with our qualified doctors. During this session, your individual skin needs will be assessed and a customized treatment plan will be created. This is followed by the Fotona 4D™ laser facelift treatment. This combines laser energy with different laser beams that build on each other and gently penetrate the skin. Please observe the following measures before treatment:

Avoid excessive sun exposure or visits to the solarium two to three weeks before treatment. Tanned skin can impair the treatment result and increase the risk of side effects.

Some skin care products, especially those with aggressive ingredients such as retinoids, may need to be discontinued before treatment. Your practitioner will give you precise instructions on this.

Fotona 4D™ laser facelift treatments should not be performed during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

The following measures are required after treatment:

After the treatment, use gentle, non-irritating skin care products recommended by the practitioner. These can help to soothe the skin and support the healing process.

After the treatment, your skin will be more sensitive to sunlight. Avoid direct sunlight for two to three weeks and protect the treated areas with sunscreen and suitable clothing.

Avoid hot baths, saunas and excessive heat exposure to minimize possible swelling and reddening of the skin.

It is recommended to avoid intense physical activity for the first few days after treatment to reduce the likelihood of swelling and skin irritation.

The Fotona 4D™ laser facelift is ideal for skin tightening and rejuvenation or for treating periorbital or nasolabial folds, marionette lines, scars and pigment shifts. The treatment is also ideal for all those who want to have their wrinkles smoothed without injections (wrinkle treatments with muscle relaxants, hyaluronic acid) or a thread lift.

To ensure optimal treatment results, our facial treatment focuses on the areas where the ageing processes of the face are most visible. These include the area around the mouth, where facial expression lines (creases around the mouth, marionette lines, nasolabial folds) are particularly common. In addition, the eye area, forehead and cheeks are tightened and rejuvenated without surgery using the 4-step Fotona 4D™ laser facelift treatment. The Fotona 4D™ laser facelift is the perfect treatment for anyone who wants a painless procedure but a noticeable anti-ageing result on the face.

How does a Fotona 4D™ laser facelift treatment work?

The treatment is carried out in four steps / dimensions: We always provide you with special glasses to protect your eyes.

  1. Step/dimension: SmoothLifting™ = "endolaser" or "intraoral tightening"

    The procedure begins with the controlled application of heat using the erbium laser mode via the oral mucosa. The laser energy is delivered completely painlessly inside the oral cavity on the cheeks and oral mucosa to heat tighten the deeper connective tissue structures. This stimulates the formation of new collagen and improves the elasticity of the tissue. Very good "filling effects" and results can be achieved in the chin and mouth area as well as the nasolabial fold.

  2. Step/Dimension: FRAC3® = "Rejuvenation effect

    Nd:YAG waves" are used to deliver small heat pulses to the deeper layers of the skin on the face. Pigments and irregularities are evened out on the surface of the skin for rejuvenation and smoothing. This extremely gentle method does not damage healthy tissue.

  3. Step/Dimension: PIANO® = "Tightening effect":

    To stimulate the formation of new collagen and elastic fibers, the outer skin tissue is heated with long pulse times using "Nd:YAG waves" and heat is released into the deeper layers of the skin and the subcutaneous fatty tissue (subcutaneous tissue) in a controlled manner.

  4. Step/Dimension: SupErficial™ = "Laser peeling effect"

    Finally, the top layer of skin is treated with "Er:YAG waves". This involves non-ablative removal of the top layer of skin using cold light. Small imperfections are smoothed, pores are refined and pigmentation spots are reduced. This laser peel rejuvenates and optimizes the skin. In the days following the treatment, it produces a peeling effect on the uppermost layers of the skin.

How quickly are the results of a Fotona 4D™ laser facelift treatment visible?

Visible changes after a Fotona 4D™ laser facelift treatment can vary from person to person. The first visible results of skin rejuvenation are visible immediately after the top layer of skin has been peeled away. The full skin tightening effect is completed after approx. 6 months, as it takes time for the newly produced collagen and elastin to tighten and improve the skin. The skin appears firmer and smoother and fine lines can gradually reduce. Individual results will depend on skin type, age and treatment goals.

At least three sessions at intervals of around 4-6 weeks are often recommended to achieve optimal results.

What should be considered after a skin tightening without surgery with Fotona 4D™ laser facelift?

After the treatment, it is normal for slight swelling, redness and micro-crusts to appear on the skin. These will subside after a few days.

No special long-term aftercare is required after a Fotona 4D™ laser facelift. After the treatment, you should rest and cool the treatment areas for a few days and avoid going to the sauna. You should avoid sunbathing or going to the solarium for approx. 4 weeks and use sun protection with SPF 50+. Acidic cosmetics and face masks are also not recommended after the treatment. A water vapor-permeable cream should be used for the first three to four days. Cooling with thermal water, for example, is also recommended immediately after the treatment.

What are the risks of skin tightening without surgery with Fotona 4D™ laser facelift?

Treatment with Fotona 4D™ laser facelift is very low-risk. The side effects are generally limited to slight swelling and redness of the skin. On the following days, the skin flakes off. However, these symptoms disappear on their own over the course of a week. A Fotona 4D™ laser facelift is relatively painless and takes place without anesthesia. However, if necessary, an anaesthetic cream can be applied 40 minutes before the treatment.

After the treatment, you can resume your everyday activities without having to accept any longer downtime.

Can the Fotona 4D™ laser facelift be combined with other treatments?

If desired, the Fotona 4D™ laser facelift at PANTEA® in Munich can be combined with other aesthetic medical treatments to optimize the rejuvenating effect.

    After consulting with a total of over 19 different specialists in Germany and the neighboring Czech Republic—and encountering not only massive price differences (ranging from 6,000 euros to over 27,000 for the same tummy tuck procedure), I decided—following a very detailed and honest consultation—to go with the medical team led by Dr. Wetzel and Dr. Dozan at the Pantea Clinic. My positive overall impression continued... The postoperative care in particular—including the completely painless removal of the drains—deserves special mention. Now, a total of 4 months after my tummy tuck, the wonderful results are becoming apparent. Here, too, I’d like to offer another very candid review and recommendation. Both Dr. Wetzel and Dr. Dozan operate very carefully and focus on healthy wound healing. This is especially important for the abdomen, where the scar is more than 30 cm long—a factor that should not be underestimated. In this regard, competitors who perform liposuction at the same time as a tummy tuck could learn a thing or two. Taking it step by step is definitely the better choice. About 4 months after the surgery, I have no complaints whatsoever; the scar is healing inconspicuously and, thanks to the scar care recommendations, remains soft without any hardening of the scar tissue. In short: A clear recommendation for Drs. Wetzel and Dozan! Tummy tucks aren’t all that common, especially among men; but the correction of the mons pubis in particular turned out far better than the preliminary consultation led me to expect!!!

    I had been thinking about a breast lift or breast augmentation for quite some time, so I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Wetzel for early 2023. It was important to me personally to discuss this topic with a female doctor because I feel more comfortable that way. Since I don’t fit the ideal female body type—I’m a bit curvier—I was worried that my request wouldn’t be taken seriously, or that I might even be discouraged from going through with it. But Dr. Wetzel immediately put my concerns to rest and made me feel that, as a curvy woman, I’m just as entitled to undergo cosmetic procedures. With her empathetic, honest, and compassionate manner, she put me at ease from the very first minute, and I felt understood and taken seriously right from the start. She is an incredibly competent, professional, and at the same time very friendly doctor. Since I was too unsure at first, I decided to have only a breast lift in April 23. However, afterward I felt my breasts lacked sufficient fullness, so in December 2023 I had breast augmentation surgery with implants. I also received excellent and competent advice regarding my preferences for implant size and manufacturer, based on 2 to 3 example photos I brought with me showing how I wanted my breasts to look. She took plenty of time at every appointment to explain everything to me clearly and in detail. And now, four weeks later, I am completely satisfied and happy with the result. From the initial consultation, through the planning of the surgeries, to the postoperative care, everything went very well. I always found Dr. Wetzel to be very friendly, calm, empathetic, and compassionate. She exudes such a sense of calm that I felt very comfortable and well taken care of in her hands.     So far, I’ve had liposuction for lipedema performed by Dr. Dozan, and I’m truly satisfied with everything. The results are just as I’d hoped, and the pre- and post-operative care is absolutely fantastic. I was able to ask—and still can ask—any questions I have. I have two more liposuction procedures coming up, and to finish things off, I’ll have an arm lift because my upper arms are now quite saggy. I can’t recommend the practice highly enough….😘😊❤️ But the clinic where the surgery is performed is also—as much as possible after such a procedure—really comfortable.     Testimonial: Diagnosis and Treatment of Lipedema at the Pantea Clinic in Munich M. KB I have been living with stage 2 lipedema for 10 years. The discovery of this condition came about in an unexpected and enlightening way. Here is my story: During my teenage years and while I was pregnant, I noticed that my body was changing, which is normal in itself. But my legs looked different from my friends’—they were stockier and had an unusual sturdiness. At first, I didn’t think much of it, but over time, the changes became increasingly obvious. The real problems began during menopause. My legs changed dramatically, accompanied by severe pain that extended from my ankles to my knees. By that point, my leg no longer had a natural shape. I tried everything to relieve the pain and figure out what was wrong with my legs. I consulted various doctors and specialists, but no one could give me a clear diagnosis. In the evenings, I massaged my legs with a spiky ball in the hope that it would ease the pain. It wasn’t until May of this year, when my daughter suggested I visit the Pantea Clinic in Munich based on a colleague’s recommendation, that I saw a glimmer of hope. I didn’t have high expectations when I went to the clinic; in fact, I felt rather hopeless. At the clinic, I was treated by Dr. Simone Hermanns, a young and empathetic doctor who spoke to me as an equal. She asked me numerous questions and conducted a thorough examination. Finally, she made the decisive diagnosis: I have stage 2 lipedema. It came as a shock to me, because at that point I knew very little about this condition. However, Dr. Hermanns patiently and thoroughly explained everything I needed to know. The good news was that while lipedema cannot be cured, there are ways to significantly improve one’s quality of life. Custom-made compression garments and pants can help you live pain-free. For a lasting improvement, however, surgery is necessary to remove the diseased fatty tissue. Dr. Hermanns also explained to me how the diseased fat impairs blood circulation and stability in the knees and joints. These explanations helped me better understand the causes of my pain and discomfort. I decided to have the surgery right away. At 59 years old, I couldn’t—and didn’t want to—wait any longer. On June 22, the first surgery was performed on the front of my legs. During the procedure, 7 liters of diseased fat were removed. Soon after the surgery, I noticed a significant improvement. The pain on the front of my legs had disappeared. On October 5, the second surgery was performed on the back of my legs. The results were promising, and I’m confident they’ll be just as positive as they were with the first surgery. My mobility has already improved significantly, and the pain is a thing of the past. I no longer have to hide from others, and I no longer feel self-conscious about my legs. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Dr. Simone Hermanns. Her expert advice, support, and flawless surgeries have permanently improved my life. Although I was in a state of shock at first, I was able to trust her, and she guided me with compassion and expertise. I can move better, am no longer in pain, and can finally go through life with confidence.

    If you had a best friend who was a surgeon, who would do everything in her power to free you from the suffering of lipedema, who would accompany you every step of the way—emotionally, medically, and through counseling—in a way that’s both empathetic and motivating, and who would even work her magic to give you beautiful legs and arms, then Dr. Hermanns would surely be that friend. In the summer of 2022, I had my first consultation regarding my lipedema. Dr. Hermanns’ holistic treatment approach and the initial examination and consultation convinced me that PANTEA would be the right practice for me.     I became aware of Dr. Lipp through a recommendation from a friend. It was the best decision to have her and her colleagues operate on me.     The clinic is in a great central location and has an underground parking garage. When you walk in, you’re warmly greeted with a smile by the ladies at the front desk—they’re super friendly and very helpful. While I was waiting, I was offered a cup of coffee.     From the diagnosis of lipoedema to 3 operations and aftercare, I received the best advice and care. I was operated on by Dr. Lipp and Dr. Hermanns. The doctors know what they are doing, are very professional, competent, empathetic and take time for you. I feel that I am in very good hands at the practice with a super committed, empathetic team.     Dr. Lipp is an incredibly competent and, at the same time, empathetic doctor—I feel exceptionally well cared for. The entire practice team is extremely friendly and accommodating! As a lipedema patient, finally being taken seriously is such a relief. After two surgeries, not only have my body and the associated pain changed, but suddenly my entire lifestyle has changed as well—it’s healthier and more active.     I have already had 2 operations with Dr. Lipp and her great team, with one more to go. I am very satisfied from the consultation to the current status. The care before and after the operation is simply outstanding, Dr. Lipp and her very friendly manner take away any fear and the result is already convincing. Many thanks also for the phone calls after the operation, they give you the feeling that you are not just a number. I would go the way with Dr. Lipp and her team again at any time, a 3rd operation is still pending, then it's done and I thank you for a hopefully new life

    I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Lipp’s practice. She works with a fantastic team, and all my questions were answered every time. Dr. Lipp and Dr. Hermanns are my lifesavers—thanks to them, I’m pain-free and finally have slim legs. I could come to them with all my questions and always felt understood and cared for.     A very empathetic young doctor with a wealth of expertise. She makes you feel completely at ease and understood. It’s often very difficult to find a doctor who understands lipedema. Thanks to her research, she has an in-depth understanding of the nature of this condition. Dr. Lipp has performed surgery on me twice so far. Her colleagues and the practice staff are also very kind. Dr. Hermanns has also been able to give me many helpful tips. I’m very glad I chose to go down this path with Dr. Lipp. And I hope she can help many more patients lead pain-free lives.
